Live Show History- 2005
2005
Sunday, April 10-
- With Death In June and David E. Williams
at the Pyramid Club in New York City
- Lineup: James Powell on electric guitar and bass, Lucas Lanthier on acoustic guitar and vocals
- Here are some photos of the show...
- And here is the script that was employed for the first set, and all but abandoned in the second set (on account of it getting lost). The dialogs were only loosely adhered to, and some were never enacted due to certain songs not making it into the set list.
Saturday, May 21-
- With Green Eyes at the Underworld in Taipei, Taiwan
- Lineup: Just Lanthier for this one
Saturday, May 28-
- Featured performance at the Vampire Garden in Osaka, Japan
- Lineup: Lanthier again performed the music alone, although this time he was joined on stage by the acclaimed international actress Li Yi-Hsiuan for some theatrical what-have-you.
Thursday, June 2-
- Featured performance at the Witch House in Taipei, Taiwan
- Lineup: Lanthier on his own again. He had this to say about the experience: "Performing without a band is nutty. On the one hand, I can spontaneously rearrange songs and change tempo without worrying about anyone else staying with me, but on the other hand, when I hit a bad note, there's nobody else making sounds to cover it up. That kind of focus on me as a performer is a new experience. A challenge, and very hard work, but I like being able to give birth to kittens in front of people."
Saturday, June 25-
- At Basswerks, in Los Angeles, California
- This performance was billed as "The Deadfly Ensemble presents the League of Theatrical Perverts in 'A Bit of Research'". Here is the script that was used.
- This lineup featured James Powell and Lucas Lanthier on bass/guitar, with a special guitar performance from Michael Ribiat on one song. Stage actors, besides Powell and Lanthier, included Michael Ribiat, Matt Pee, and Sebastian Lanthier
